My Favorite Spring Flower

When I observe the dance of the tulips and daffodils, something stirs within me. My recent trip to a flower shop in London was no exception to this romantic notion. Spring after spring my love for tulips grows. Tulips smile at you, talk to you, let you know when they need water, have too much light; and before they die, they are their most serenely beautiful, stems flagging as if reaching out for a final embrace, the folding petals expressing in their contortions every imaginable emotion. The shapes are fascinating and they come in an astonishing variety of colors. Here I fall in love again with Parrot Tulips:
