Peanut Butter Banana Oatmeal


This is a hearty breakfast recipe for the cold winter months. The balance of carbohydrates, fruit and protein will keep your appetite satisfied well into the afternoon.


1 cup old-fashioned oatmeal
2 1/3 cup water
Pinch of salt
2 tablespoons peanut butter
1 banana, sliced
1/3 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon butter

Yield: 2-4 Servings


Combine the oatmeal, water and salt in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil. Cook for 5 minutes stirring occasionally. Add the peanut butter, banana, milk and butter and mix gently. Cook for another minute and serve.
