Ingredients
2 ripe pears
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
4 slices brioche
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons sliced almonds
1 dollop sour cream or créme fraîche
Yield: 4 servings

Preheat the broiler. Peel the pears and cut them into small cubes. Melt the butter in a saucepan and sauté the pear cubes for 2 to 3 minutes over medium-high heat. In a baking dish, arrange the pear cubes on the brioche slices. Cover with the honey and almonds. Put the pan under the preheated broiler for 2 minutes, watching carefully. Serve warm with a dollop of sour cream or créme fraîche.
