So...I'm just curious...who is everyone's ultimate style icon(s)? I'll start...I know their style probably isn't very "French", but I'm a huge fan of Edie Sedgwick and Zooey Deschanel. lol.
I love her style, she was so classic in everything she wore and did!

Juliette Binoche & Lauren Bacall
In their very different ways. Mlle Binoche carries herself with an earthy grace and a certain insouciance that is very appealing and sexy in an approachable way, while Lauren Bacall combined an imperious demeanour and an air of rigourous competence with a hint of impish humour and impeccable tailoring. And she was a tall woman who was not afraid to wear heels.

two more wonderful examples of style and true beauty
You are so right on annamey, both actresses radiate charm and true beauty, not the Hollywood of today where beautiful 18 year old women become addicted to plastic surgery to acquire "the look". They really just end up looking the same. Love the pic of you and bebe! Tina

Effortless style
I have to agree, I watch Rear Window just to be caught up in the elegant effortless style of Grace Kelly. Swirling into a room,in beautiful gowns and (now)vintage jewelry, bedazzling! Jackie Kennedy always looked refined, even in simple, understated attire. Sorry to disagree with the majority of you, nobody carries off true style like stars of days gone by. Sigh!Tina

I agree, Grace Kelly and Jackie Kennedy, absolutely the epitome of elegance and good taste!
I would also like to add Audrey Hepburn, to that category and of course Katherine Hepburn for her most individual style and most individual attitude! Michelle

Oui Michelle!
Mais oui Michelle, Audrey Hepburn and Katherine Hepburn were classics yet individuals, always stellar. And gee, though not usually thought of as glamourous, more the wholesome, girl next door, how could I forget Doris Day! Love-e-ed her elegant look in Midnight Lace. Though she spent most of that movie looking terrified, she was dressed devinely! (Borrowed her movie name for my alter-ego, Kit Preston):)Tina

Not the most sophistocated of movie plots...
Hi Michelle! The rich innocent young wife, the suave but up-to-no-good husband(handsome Rex Harrison),damsel in distress, eerie voices in the constant London fog...I'll never watch a chain-saw massacre type movie, but Midnight Lace is my kind of creepy fun on a cold wintry night with a mug of hot chocolate!! Enjoy, Tina

Grace Kelly has always been my ideal when it comes to style. She was just so classy and amazing all the time. Her clothing in Rear Window was aboslutely gorgeous and oozed class and sophistication just as she did in her personal life.

Mrs. O
I found a wonderful website devoted to the iconic style of Michelle Obama, first lady. It's www.mrs-o.com. Mrs. Obama has great, effortless style, and one of the things I like most about her is that she wears her outfits more than once, mixing them up with different accessories and looks. Another thing I love about her, is that she'll wear a designer dress one day, and a $29.99 dress from Gap or Talbots, the next, looking equally gorgeous in both. I also love her because she's fearless in her dressing. She is not a willowy stick, she's a normal sized woman who knows how to dress to accentuate her shape. So... she's my new style icon. :)
