Christmas Feasting today!
This morning we had a brunch with bacon, bagels, cream cheese and lox, with fresh orange juice and coffee. For dinner, homemade lasagna, green salad with homemade vinaigrette, assorted olives, baguette and butter, and a nice red wine. This year, I also made some gluten-free lasagna for my daughter who was recently diagnosed with celiac disease. It came out surprisingly delicious. Pumpkin pie (both regular and gluten free) for dessert. I hope everyone had many lovely dishes today!Viva la Diva

Loving the typo.
I can think of lots of lovely sins!!!! But for Christmas dinner we will be having:Starter: duck pate with french toast, salad leaves and homemade chutney.
Main: Roast pork with apple sauce, stuffing, brussel sprouts, carrot and turnip mash, roast potatoes and parmesan parsnips (a little of each only).
Dessert: Christmas pudding with brandy sauce for those that can, that will be the men no doubt. Much later we may have cheese and biscuits.
Christmas Eve will probabley be something simple like lasagne and green salad. We will be at DD's so she rules this year.

My favorite typo EVER!!!
Oh Bren, I know you meant Christmas dinner but the irreverent, bawdy side of me really, truly loves the question as it stands, the Christmas sinner!! But seriously folks... I'm trying something different this year. On Christmas Eve, my kids are arriving late, so we'll just have a cocktail or two, some cheese and crackers, veggies and dip (a spinach/artichoke dip, I think). On Christmas, our big main meal will be breakfast - a big breakfast casserole with eggs, potatoes, cheese and sausage; fruit salad and crepes; mimosa and coffee; and scrambled tofu/sauteed red pepper tortilla wraps for my vegan son. In the afternoon, I'll put out platters of meat, cheese, sliced vegetables and bread for sandwiches. I'll let you all know how it goes - we're normally big for the traditional Christmas prime rib dinner, so this will be a big change.
