What are you wearing today?

Hi All,

One of my favorite threads from the old website was "What are you wearing today?" It helped me remember not to just grab the jeans, sweatshirts and sneakers that I always wear, and to boost my style, even when I was just going to be around the house. In other words... to dress like a French woman everyday. With style and a little bit of thought. :)

I am notorious for sloppy dressing, etc. but when I would read others' postings on their outfits, I would put down the sweats and dress up a bit, knowing that somewhere other French women were going that extra step too.

So in the spirit of FWDGF, here is what I am wearing today... Black skinny leg pants, deep teal T, black cardigan, and black boots, black Guess purse, scarf with lavenders and grays, and a small jade heart necklace on a silver chain.

Cheers,

Deb

I wore nice fitting jeans

I wore nice fitting jeans with a white button-up pressed shirt, black cardi, red and green springy silk scarf and red ballet flats! Simple jewelry but blingy black leather with metal stud purse. And, I actually DID my hair! LOL

Cute grey dress.....

Okay for anyone who read my post under Stress Related Eating (for those who responded - merci!!! You ladies are all too sweet and I will heed and take your advice), I decided to fix myself up. Today I have on my cute grey sweater dress, black tights and my favorite knee high black boots. Still struggling with the new haircut (which I'm getting fixed soon). So I feel a lot better today. Yoga for me too!

I wore light grey yoga pants with a seafoam green long sleeved tee with a round neck (I cannot stand crew necks). I paired that with a dark grey sweater, black ballerina flats + purse, and a light grey scarf. I had heard it was going to get cool today, so I dressed for warmth. It made it up to about 60 degrees this afternoon, but was snowing a little while ago! Crazy Oklahoma weather!

One of My Favorite Outfit Days

Today I ran a New Employee Orientation class for 6 new employees. I wore a houndstooth black and royal blue skirt, black tights, black boots and a royal blue turtleneck sweater. One of my colleagues stated a few weeks ago that the color is good for me (I am definitely a "blue" girl) so that combo made me feel in control and confident! We run casual mostly but I like to dress up now and then.

PJs

Just more or less crawling out of bed after 2 days of high fever...feeling my worse, so I changed my sheets and put on my turguoise feece PJ with white spots and satin raffles and little bows at the pockets, feeling like a diva now....a diva running a fever but still....a diva. Now I'm off to bed again with my ginger tea!

Love the Diva

Hope you are feeling better but I love the diva visual! All you need is a feather trimmed robe!

Is it over?

Today I had on a beautiful black suit with kitten heels . Well I ran down a flight of stairs the heel got caught and I fell down a flight of stairs, ouch! My dh reminded me I got my heel caught on the way to mass last month. I am only 44 but maybe getting too old for even a low heel? Ugh.

Heels!

I'm almost 55 and love to wear heels, wear them almost every day. I don't think it's the height , just find some more sturdy heels. Overhere that's fashion right now, so I got some brown and black ankle boots with sturdy heels, walk great! And I've seen lovely pumps with heels like that too!

Ouch Kelly

I'm sure it was just a momentary lapse of concentration. I'm very nearly 65 and I still love and wear my high heels, 2" or 3" but none of the excessively high ones you see the 'celebs' in. You just need to go a little slower that's all. Take care.

OUCH!! I trust you are not badly hurt.I don't think it is over.Heels can put you off balance.Perhaps some exercises to improve your proprioception will help.,eg.balancing on one foot for a minute, the Tree Pose and the Chair Pose from Yoga.I no longer wear heels, after wrecking my left ankle in heels. But I am much older than you are.Go carefully and stay vertical.OXO

Maybe just care with heels...you aren't too old. In fact I don't believe in thinking that you are too old. Another perspective I read reacently is after a Yamuna Body Rolling class where her belief is that you simply need to work your feet before and after heels, that you should still be able to wear the shoes you love. hmmmmm

to your health

For your health, Bren and Mrs HonniB...and enjoy being sick too...I know that may sound funny, but being sick can be a really good thing, time to rest deeply, detox, eat less, nurture yourself....may you feel loved as you are healing.
