Thank you everyone for giving me motivation and positive thoughts
Thanks to all of you who lifted me up with your kind comments. I will not give up. I am moving my scale out of the bathroom and putting it in another room so I will not keep jumping on and off. I am still recording everything that I eat. I am trying to exercise 30 minutes per day and hope to see success little by little!!
Joanne

Dear Joanne,
You WILL succeed. We are not cattle going to market or apples bought by the pound There are legitimate needs for scales, but not to measure our self-worth. Just making the changes you have is setting you on a new course. You don't have to comply by the rules of others. You know what you need to make yourself happy. That is at the core of the "French" philosophy--joie de vivre. Savoring small portions of food we love, doing some form of exercise you enjoy, maybe hiking or raking leaves. You may not be old enough to remember when we thought Jane Fonda was "it" as far as exercise went--leotard with a belt(really?), leg warmers, etc. Yikes!! Our bodies were meant to move, dance around the house for 20 minutes, envigorating. So, take good care and nurture yourself. We are here for you!Hugs, Tina

Embracing ourselves in the very moment we are in, is most important. Love yourselves and be well.
