I finally did the 50% rule

Never felt so good afterwards!! I only ate half of my dinner last night - pasta and pot roast. Just a very few small pieces of bread broken off the loaf, and a salad. I was so proud of myself and felt so much better this morning - no stuffed and bloated feeling. The 50% rule does work!!!! I will continue to use it. Have been walking 30 minutes per day also!!

Awesome!

Thank you for the reminder. I need to apply it to bread and chocolate these days. Your enthusiasm is inspiring.

Great Job!

Being a visual person myself, the 50% rule has been the easiest way for me to control my food portions. It is a wonderful way to stay mindful (and thankful) for the tasty delights that are on my plate! @+ :)

Good for you!

Good for you, Joanne. You're an inspiration. I'm going to write "50%" on a post-it note and stick it on my place mat!

Really like your idea!

Thanks Joanne for your advice and update. A portion is any size you make it. I'm also trying to round things out with clear broths(low-salt)and really big salads with lots of good vinegar, like balsamic, and a splash of olive oil. Bon appetit!
