Hi everyone - I have lost 5 lbs - it took me over a month but I did it!!
Un peu, un peu, I am becoming a French woman. Thanks to all of you with all of your wise advice and support. I just wish I could thank Mireille in person!! My sister and my sister-in-law have also bought the book, "French Women Don't Get Fat" and are following it also. I realize there is no diet, just lifestyle changes. I am trying to drink Perrier water as opposed to drinking too much wine and I am just trying to sip my wine! I am 20 lbs away from my goal weight but I know that I can do this!!

Good for you!!
I have lost a couple...I was down almost five but quickly gained back 1.8 due to over indulging and mindless eating. Sigh. It is a process. I am having the biggest challenge with football season upon us. I have learned a few things and am trying to make our tailgates more friendly. In fact last night - even though we lost miserably, we had a great tailgate. DH and I shared some champagne, and had lobster tails and fish on the grill other than your usual burgers and chips. When I have wine inside the stadium - I put it with soda water and it's more refreshing than just drinking wine or beer. Baby steps :)vickie2

You so will be. Provence is where my heart lies. We have had many happy holidays near Mont Ventou. You will love retiremnt as well, once you get used to it. I retired 18 months ago and am settling into it nicely having adjusted to the loss of salary!!!!!meneia
