Just wondering...

Has she ever tried macrobiotics? I've heard about it before, but was watching The Incurables last night on Veria Living channel on Direct Tv. The lady highlighted was bedridden, was given three weeks to live and had tumors in both lungs, and in some other places.....maybe pancreas and/or liver. She started eating and/or juicing to get her strength back up, then she got enough strength to be able to do some treatment, although I think she went for an alternative method at this point. I'm not sure if your friend could try this. There may be a book at the library about it. I don't want to give up. :/

A somber respite...

Mercifully bitter politics is on hold today as we bow our heads as a nation, remembering those many who lost their lives/loved ones on 9/11/2001. We all pray for strength and peace.

Thank you wonderful French sisters...

We have so much to be grateful for. Especially our support of each other in times of grief and terror. We are closer than mere dots on a map. If I may ask for prayers again, my daughter-in-law's father is gravely ill, on a ventilator. Years of ignoring his health are taking their toll. Thanks for always being there and your prayers. xo

Worried about one of my uncles, who is vacationing with us. To cut a very long story short, he's got quite a number of health problems, a weak heart being among them. I'm really hoping he'll have better health and that he can get things sorted out. He might have to go on disability since his gout is getting worse.

Thanks! My mom might have to have a word with my cousin about how to care for her dad. In the meantime we're just trying to help him out with the doctors' appointments, adjusting to getting a cane (he practiced with it today) and stuff like that. I sort of don't want him to go back to the USA just yet since I have no idea if my family will ever see him again after this, but that's where he has to go to get some surgery done.

Norma...

I do think about you and Ms Norma often, even when I am away from this site for a bit. I pray for comfort to her and her family and friends. It reminds of people in my life who have had the same struggle.....some are gone on and some are still here. It inspires me to grasp every opportunity to find happiness in life. I try to use it as a tool to not be fearful to try anything because we never know when our time may be up. It makes me cherish my friendships, to be more aware or everything.....words, conversations, memories, opportunities. Her struggles are not in vain. She does not know that she has affected the lives of everyone here and has caused a change in some of us and aided us in being more grateful for what we have. You tell her that there is a gal down in Alabama who is thankful that, inadvertently, she has affected my life in a positive way. And thank her.

Such wonderful words and thoughts, Kimberly

You are so wise and know just the right words to convey your beautiful thoughts. And yes while we pray for Norma, we are reminded of how fragile our lives are, and how fortunate we are to breathe in each new day. Well said, have no fear, our time here is uncertain. Hugs Tina
