Bombshell Weekend Reports!

So, what did you do during your Bombshell Weekend? It could be all out crazy glamour or something as simple as putting red lipstick on just to go to the store. What did you do to feel like a Bombshell?

New organic make up!

I bought and tried the new organic make-up kit for brunettes (Korres cosmetics) and boom! there I was: the new nude ME with some right colours on!!! Of course, I 'm wearing them now, too! Cheers to you all!

No time to pick a bombshell...

DH is out of town for the weekend, eldest son and daughter had an air cadet function today, and I've been run off my feet for the last two days, but I did manage to steal a moment to put on mascara and red lipstick, put a quick coat of hot mauve on my fingers, and and dress up in a cute apple-green argyle sweater, my zipper test trousers (the waist is tight, but I could do them up), and spectator flats. I also had a moment to put my hair in a French braid instead of my usual ponytail.

I have a date with a tub full of hot water (sans bubbles, alas) later this evening. I also plan to finish the manicure properly and put matching polish on the toes. I would be looking forward to a good night's sleep, but I have to pick eldest son up at 2 am from a cadet dance in Vancouver.

So, this weekend, my bombshell is... moi!

I just couldn't decide...

between Audrey Hepburn and Miss Piggy... This weekend, am I classically polished, or maniacally fabulous? A bit of both, I fear.

Oh my goodness!

I feel sooooooooo pouty and sleek. Time to mince around my kitchen in my stiletto heels and my black silk Christian Dior ensemble. Now what should I have my chef make me for dinner....

Standing up...

I agree, Jeanie. '44 was a very good year. If we don't, who will? Society focuses on youth, but we can shift the focus by being our incredible selves, as soignee as we wanna be. :)

A suprb name change, the 40s were good years speaking as a vintage 1947 myself. We are all valuable in different ways and must stand together and shout it loud.

Oui

It is Ines. I so love her style. Had the hair trimmed yesterday, today did my facial and manicure in between sorting the clothes. The pile is getting smaller AND I have actually sorted some of OH's holiday clothes. Why is it that men try to hide when packing is mentioned!!!? He is so busy sorting the satnav and playing golf, would he actually notice if I didn't pack him anything? He likes to look smart as long as I deal with it. C'est la vie.

Anyone up for a good BS weekend?

I don't know about the rest of you but I could really use a good bombshelling this weekend. I mean the works! I'm going for manicure and pedicure and tooth whitening. Thinl I'll throw in a good facial whilst I'm at it. Next week I only have 3 and 1/2 days left and I think I'd like to go out in a french style bang. Anyone with me?

I am in !!

It is time for a real pampering. Also, have some fun things coming up this weekend.Seeing a Brit comedian,Eddie Izzard,on Friday night;a BBQ Sat. afternoon and a birthday party Sun.Will work in a pedicure and do a facial at home.Do we want to do a Mystery Bombshell or just the basic Bombshell?I am kind of leaning towards the basic but can be otherwise convinced.

He is...

...much like our beloved Stephen Fry who is in fact a walking Encyclopedia...both utterly fascinating and inspirational to watch! These are the men I would have to 'one' (this isn't a definitive list you know!) of my ultimate dinner parties...along with J.F.K (he'd have some stories to tell), Elvis (he'd play a good tune after dinner), Lord Lucan (he has so much explaining to do and you'll make a fortune once he'd agreed to you writing his biography), Leonardo da Vinci (just think of all that super-intelligence you could collate), George Clooney (you need some eye candy!), JRR Tolkien (who wouldn't like to get inside the genius mind of this man? Besides which, my siblings are named after characters from 'The Book') Where are the women, I hear you ask? Well, I think we'll keep it men only for today! I'll invite the ladies around on a Thursday - we'll have a nice dinner party created with Mireille's new recipes! Ava X
