So, what did you do during your Bombshell Weekend? It could be all out crazy glamour or something as simple as putting red lipstick on just to go to the store. What did you do to feel like a Bombshell?
I seem to be having my bombshell weekend this weekend instead. This morning I cycled in to town and got my hair cut. Then I met up with my mum for some shopping. I bought a bathing suit, which I may return because I think it is too big, having tried it on again at home. I went into a department store to buy some OPI nail polish, and on the way spotted a very minimalist Essie rack! They had one of each of the colours I wanted left: Sugar Daddy (a baby pink, which is my natural nail colour) and Forever Young (a bright red), and base and top coats. I even got a free magazine with the purchase. So I'm going to give myself a mani-pedi this afternoon.

My weekend
Was not as anticipated as DD+1 couldn't get here as he had to work so next weekend will be family weekend. I utilised the weekend by finally getting the 'study' sorted, it was sooooo untidy as OH uses it mainly and it was more of a tip than a study, but now, for a while at least, it is tidy, newly decorated and woe betide him if it ever goes back to the mess it was. I found time to do a little to my nails as they had begun to look dry and scruffy. I need a proper manicure very soon!! Next week perhaps. I intend to have a real bombshell weekend before too long.

Being here to be inspired !
MY bombshell weekend ended watching Downton Abbey..very surprising ending ! The date was nice but I get the feeling this gentleman was not totally honest about his age..I get the feeling he is more into his 60's then the 59 that he listed in his profile. And his health does concern me a bit ( I don't have a very good track record for that ) , but it was a lovely date and he is a nice man. Anyhow , the weekend was inspiring to try to be more bombshell like every day. Which for me means being in the moment and focus..sometimes I just run which leads to unhealthy things. Have a wonderful Monday , and Jean what is the Bragg rule ?

Go with your gut....
A blind date of sorts? Where did you meet him? On a dating site? I think you should go with your gut. Because I feel that if he was the right one, then the age would not come up. And if they lie about something as simple as that, what else would they lie about? But maybe you can be friends. And in the least, you had a lovely time with a nice person. :) Enjoy the search.

from the Bombshell Weekend are truly inspiring.I believe you have the Bombshell attitude exactly right.Live now.Live well.
You sound like you have the right sense about this man.Nice as he may be you have to listen to your gut and care for you first. And you have given me an insight into my own track record. And that is I did not listen to my gut,but second guessed myself and at the same time put them first. Not a great way to manage things.
The Bragg Rule is that you do not age until you get your last gift or greeting for your birthday. It follows that people who forget your birthday and send belated wishes are doing you a great favour. It works beautifully. My sisters and I came up with this Rule severaal years ago, after years of being chronically late for each other's birthday.;-)) OXO

is not over yet.I have realized how being a Bombshell makes me feel really bien dans ma peau.Tomorrow I will do the pedicure.Today, I took a good walk and visited a charming new shop nearby.Bought a very nice cushion for my bed and a little box shaped like a French macaroon for trinkets or medicines.I priced a pretty chandelier that I had my eye on.It would go a long way to making my room to look the way I would like.If I get it(it is on sale at 30%off)I will still have to be frugal.I think it is worth it.oxo

Invoking the Bragg rule on the bombshell weekend
Since I have to work again tonight, with tomorrow being my one day off this week, I have decided to invoke the Bragg rule. It ain't over until I decide it's over. Going to use my time off to (finally) polish up my nails and (possibly) get my hair cut. Work requires neutral polish on the hands, but I may just go nuts and do a lovely deep red on my toes. But time for me to go get ready for work. Here's to being as French as I can be.

A different kind of bombshell day...
Hi lovely bombshellers! Yesterday I had to work, and I've been so busy lately, that I decided to bombshell my life today. In other words, I pretended all day that I was a French woman, who needed to do her housework, and tend to her domestic duties. So... starting last night on my way home from work, I stopped at my favorite, organic, trendy co-op and got really good food, and made a lovely dinner for my son and I. Today, I finished my grocery shopping with an eye towards french quality instead of cheap quantity. Then, I spent a loving day mindfully cleaning and cooking and baking with much pleasure and attention to little details, instead of the usual "hurricane" style cleaning that I usually do. I also made three wonderfully rustic loaves of artisan bread, from scratch. My house smells divine, and I loved my mindful day, cozy in my home, while the bitter, arctic snow and wind howl outside my windows. I hope everyone had a lovely bombshell weekend. Cheers, Deb

I want everyday to be a Bombshell day.
I actually spent the weekend sorting through my "junk" room. It is where everything goes when there is no other place. Well it has a lovely bed in it, four poster bed that was my grandmothers. But it was covered with my quilts and blankets that had no other place to go. My parents brought me a quilt chest I had been wanting that they had in storage and now everything is put away and the whole room looks so much better. Now it is ready in case someone wants to visit..... And here is a hint to why I am so happy these days.....I anticipate that I will have a visitor this summer from the UK. :)

Interesting weekend so far ...
Interesting start to my bombshell weekend: internet went out at work mid afternoon, had been out for 8 hours by the time I got to work. Stayed out for another 6, and since our primary system is internet based, I had nothing to do until 5 am. Ended up working 2 hours of overtime just to ensure that the day shifts could function. Needless to say, exhaustion is not exactly bombshell-ish, so I "treated" myself to a better-quality breakfast sandwich and a cup of peppermint tea. Back at work tonight, trying to catch up on everything for last night and tonight.
Fortunately, I did have a good (protein-packed) breakfast before work: scrambled eggs with mushroom, onion, sharp cheddar, and bacon; two slices of rye toast with peanut butter; and a spinach-arugula salad with raspberry vinaigrette, as well as half a red grapefruit for dessert (which I ate first).
I did manage to put my hair up and put on a lick of gloss for work -- nothing too much. Then, when I got to work, Matthew, the lovely young man who worked the evening shift was kind enough to get me a pitcher of water with lemon before he left, so I am managing to stay relatively well-hydrated. Still a lot of work to do, but at least the pile of paperwork now appears to be manageable. And since competence it part of my personal definition of being a bombshell, it will be done. On time, and with flair.

Trying to make it work despite busy schedule
Well so it has become clear: my entire team has to keep our nails short for our clinical activities, so getting a manicure is out of the question for the weekend. I might blow dry my hair to make it more manageable. And I have to put on some makeup for the wedding.
If I can, I might spoil myself by getting some good cologne or perfume.
