Welcome/Bienvenue to Art of the Home. Art of the Home is a magazine written by a small group of French women living in the US and in France. Art of the Home is written for all women, American, French, and citizens of the world. Our wish is that Art of the Home will give you daily inspiration to embrace your wifehood, nurture your femininity, and rejoice in your motherhood. Art of the Home offers articles on cooking, beauty, decorating, gardening, traveling with a little touch of French to it… ■French Kitchen - Simple recipes, inspired from family recipes in France. This may give you a few dinner ideas from a simple weekly meal with the family to a dinner with friends on the weekend. All recipes are tested and approved by one of us. ■French Country - We are passionate about French country style decoration. The French country deco section gives you some inspiration for decorating your own little nest. ■Tips - A good tip makes life simpler. This section provides tips for cooking, organizing, cleaning, gardening, beauty, and much more. ■Joie de Vivre- Discovering an uplifting video, or an inspirational quote to make you smile. ■Femininity - Sharing a few beauty, style, and nutrition ideas to nurture your femininity. ■French Escapade - Pictures, traveling ideas, and off the beaten path destinations in France. ■Potager - Potager is French for vegetable garden. French Essence Website
After perusing the website and seeing the incredible finds in the Paris Flea markets ,I have decided to decorate my bedroom French in style.A window treatment has been a major puzzle.I saw vintage linen curtains and my friend is going to help me make something similar. If you look in theParis Apartment section on the site and scroll way down you will see a curtain with gros grain ribbon ties and that is what I want.Since I like clean lines,I will keep decorative embellishments to a minimum.OXOSardonique
