Apple Accompaniment

We had lots of apple trees of many varieties in our orchards and the supply would last for the whole winter.

INGREDIENTS

2 celery stalks, washed and minced
1 large apple, cored and coarsely sliced
1.5 teaspoons butter
1.5 teaspoons brown sugar

Yield: 2 Servings

RECIPE

In a frying pan, sauté minced celery in butter for 5 minutes, then add the apple, sprinkle with the brown sugar, and continue cooking under very low heat for 10 minutes or until apple is tender but not mushy.
